How is BOTOX® Cosmetic administered?  In one ten-minute treatment you will have the area to be treated injected with a tiny needle and within days, there will be a noticeable improvement in those persistent lines, which can last up to four months. (Results may vary.)

When do I see the results and how does it last?  Within days, you may see an improvement that lasts three months. Over time, the effect may last longer, up to six months.

Will my facial expressions be affected? No. You can still look surprised and happy without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.

Are the injections painful? The injections are with a very tiny needle so there may only be a very small amount of burning or stinging that is very transient. If needed a topical anesthetic can be applied to decrease any discomfort that may be experienced.

Restylane®:

Restylane® is used for filling in the wrinkles on the lower face using a substance that is injected under the surface of the skin along the wrinkle lines.  It plumps up the skin to the same level or close to the same level of the surrounding skin. 

What are the common side effects of the fillers?  Mild adverse post-treatment responses such as redness, bruising and swelling are possible.

Does it hurt?  A topical anesthetic is applied before the procedure, which minimizes the discomfort that may be experienced during the procedure.

How long does it last?  Restylane® will last four to six months.Juvederm Ultra® and Juvederm Ultra Plus® will last 4-6 months or more, Cosmoplast® will last for three months but it really depends on the individual person.  The exact amount of time that the product will remain varies from person to person and will depend on how fast each individual absorbs the product as well as where the product is used on the face.
